Spring planting is on the farmer's mind.  In an average year most farmers would be preparing for spring planting. This time last year our focus on the farm looked like the picture to the right & you can read about that {here}.

 ~SPRING OPENING~ 

Fortunately & Unfortunately... 

There is a blanket of snow and ice covering our farm.

This snow brings much needed moisture to our region, but also delays spring planting preparations and makes for "chilly" decor & design. So, as we wait for the real first days of spring to plant, we remind ourselves of the verse below...

You can find many beautiful spring decor items like the ones pictured above at the...Barn Store's opening April 27th & 28th.

Hopefully Spring will be taking its turn!

{Almost} Finished Bathroom...

Spring is in the air and we are working hard to finish the basement remodel before... 

{Spring} planting & the...Barn Store's {re}Opening.

The artist has been working to get the...Barn Store ready for our April Opening Weekend.

Check out the 2013 Dates we will be open on the left or {click here}.

We have remodeled most of the basement.  We started from the top down, by removing a drop ceiling and sheet rocking it instead.  We then updated all the electrical by adding can lights, a couple of new fixtures, new electrical outlets & switches in white. 

We removed old carpet and added a new. 

The old patio/garage door was removed and a french door now strands in its place.

The fireplace will be changed from a wood burning fireplace to a gas insert and the brick facade will be covered in white wood with a {new} traditional timeless mantle.

Once the fireplace is finished we will blog this space.
